Why iPhone 12 mini display getting so many scratches?

Too many scratches on my iPhone 12 mini display, even after using carefully. A screen protector is really required? Or is there any way I can repair these scratches at home?

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 17

You can’t repair the scratches at home. A screen protector isn’t required but if scratches bother you then it’s probably worth having one. As to why it’s getting so many scratches…a lot of different factors but ultimately…it’s glass. The ability to scratch from a host of things exists (including contact with microscopic abrasive debris that can be in a pocket)
