Sonoma Mail add incoming mail into the calendar
I am new to mail in macOS. In outlook for macOS I can drag the mail in the inbox to the calendar icon and create an event.
How is this done with macOS mail and macOS calendar?
iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17

Outlook has special kinds of messages to do that within itself, I don't think Mail supports that.
If your friend included the date in the text you can hover the mouse over it and often the system recognizes it and displays a box with an arrow around it.
Click on the arrow and you can complete the entry for the calendar.
Otherwise, you'll have to create the entry manually.
The message probably includes an ics file as attachment. Open the message and double-click on it.
No it does not. It is a mail from a friend with a proposed date to meet. I would like to make it an entry in my calendar.
ok thx
