ipad pro movies too dark

My iPad has been my default movie and tv viewing device for years. I have the most recent iPad Pro and the dark scenes in movies and Apple TV shows are so dark you can barely see what’s happening. I have brightness turned all the way up, I’ve fiddled with all the settings and I can’t get it any better. There’s an option for adjusting the white point of the display. There should be an option for raising the black point as well. At this point, I’ll have to find a new tablet because one of my primary uses (watching media) is completely useless if there’s any night time scenes.
