Screen rotation lock gone- iPad pro 12.9 iOS 17.1

I just updated my iPad pro 12.9” (4th gen) to iOS 17.1 the screen rotation lock has disappeared.

I checked under the control panel settings, and it is not even there to show or not show. I do not see it anywhere else either.

I searched, but did not see this popping up for the latest iOS
