When I save to Desktop, It shows in finder as on desktop but it's not actually there.

Since upgrading to Sonoma I have had a really weird problem. If I see an image on the web, I would simply right-click>save image as> then to my desktop where it would immediately appear.

Now when I do this, it will not appear but it will show in the finder. Even then, in the finder, I cannot drag or move it to the desktop. I can find the file in my "recent" folder and can get to it that way however, when I drag it to my desktop, it will make the "ding" sound that it has moved there but nothing shows up.

Is anyone else having this issue?
