Fina Cut Pro Changing Import Color

So I'm fairly new to final cut pro, and mainly use it to cut up movie aesthetics for scene packs. I downloaded the movie and everything like normal and no had no issues. but when i end up importing the file into Final Cut Pro, the coloring of the file changes from what it looks like when played literally ANYWHERE else. But what's even weirder is that sometimes if i'm clipping parts of the movie and it's paused or i'm running over the timeline with the mouse, it will appear to be that original coloring. but then when i play the clip, it reverts back to the discolored version. I can't find the solution to this literally anywhere.

i've played with effects. i've checked the LUT, done the effect changes, and nothing has fixed it.

the first picture is what it looks like regularly. it had a bit more red and just the entire film in general has more brightness and warmth. the final cut pro discoloration is very cold and greener, with a lot less red tone showing. any help would be appreciated. thanks!.
