Apple TV 4K and Youtube using Keyboard

It is now November 2023 is the Apple Keyboard still not working with YouTube?

Magic Keyboard doesn't work on YouTube app on Apple TV 4K As stated in title. I have a Magic Keyboard paired with my new Apple TV 4K. The Keyboard is great for entering text and controlling the Apple TV 4K, but YouTube stands out as the only app that doesn't accept keyboard input. Oddly, it does work with the Apple TV remote, so I can only assume Google decided that they only want us to use the remote and are digging their heels in on other peripherals. Very annoying. I would assume that it's something to do with Google being anticompetitive etc but the purchase has already been made. You lost Google. Get over it, get over yourselves, and make the keyboard work in your lonely app.

Can't use iPhone to type into Apple TV search bar after TVOS 17.5 update It used to be that whenever I opened a search page on an Apple TV app, whether it was the top-level search app or a search page in a streaming app, I'd get a prompt on my iPhone (if it was unlocked) allowing me to open an iPhone keyboard in the Remote app. Since the latest TVos update to 17.5, I still get this prompt, and when I tap on it the Remote app opens, but no keyboard appears. This makes search on the Apple TV extremely laborious, selecting every letter one by one. Anyone else seen this? Any known fix?

Apple TV 4K keyboard not coming up on IPad or iPhones And when I try to enter text on the AppleTV screen, I get the notification to continue entering on my iPad and on my iPhone but when I click on it, the Siri remote comes up on the phone and iPad but no keyboard. I’ve checked all the normal things both are on the same net work both are signed into the same Apple ID And the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on. I just can’t get it to go from remote to keyboard.

did they ever promise that would be the case?

google makes the youtube app not apple so unless they take actions I don't think it will ever come to pass

and maybe Watch YouTube TV on your TV - YouTube TV Help (google.com)

you can also complain to apple they don't ban the youtube app for not adding support for keyboard using their feedback
