Sleep apps and standard/daylight time changes.

Today the time changed from standard to daylight time.

I checked my sleep app after waking to see how long I have slept. It said I had gone to sleep at 10:15 PM and woke up about 4:15 AM six hours duration. However the time changed at 2 AM. If the time has not change, it would’ve been 5:15 AM. Sleep application said I had slept six hours but in reality I had slept seven hours.

Is there any standard on how those applications should report fall and spring time changes on the night they occur because obviously this app is off an hour for duration, but reflect correct time for falling asleep and waking up.

Simply posting the correct duration with the Clock times, and a note of explanation.

I'm not sure if you're experiencing this in some specific sleep app, but I use the sleep schedule under the Health app on my iPhone. I slept from 12:15 AM to 7:50 AM, which is a little less than 8 hours but the app shows 8h30m for me. I then traced back the time and can see the clock did turn back in the sleep schedule too (see attached image) which means it accounted for that extra hour of sleep in 8h30m, so it makes sense.
