Old iPhone 5S running iOS 12.5.7 updating apple apps like maps somehow

Old iPhone 5S seems like apple apps are updating, dont know how because last software update was iOS 12.5.7 For example maps changed walking directions layout.

I’ve lost the generic street view (with a clean white or soft tan background) which is easy on the eyes. It seems that I can only choose from driving, explore, satellite, or transit and the background now is green, gray, and blue. Lots of labels and utterly confusing to focus on. It’s just awful. iOS Home App does not update I am trying to use the Home App for managing devices in the household. While all of the devices appear in the app, only two are shown as available. The app indicates it needs to be updated, but once started, the update never completes (I have left it running for more than 12 hours with no resolution). The app is on an iPhone 12 and a new 9th-generation iPad. Both are fully updated except for this one apop. I have rebooted both and the problem remains. For reference, I do not have a hub.

Obsolete apps I have an old IPad mini running iOS 12.5.6 and my Apple weather app has disappeared. When I go to the App Store the Apple app doesn’t even show up. Is there some way to get an older version of the app that will work with the old iOS?
