I have Ventura 13.5.2 on my MacMini. I need to enable the upgrade to Sonoma 14.1, but I cannot get past the message: "Passcode is not set". I have never had to enter a passcode on my MacMini before to upgrade, and I do not have one. I have no idea how to obtain one, as there seem to be no prompts that would enable me to do that. Any help would be appreciated.

I managed to get Apple support, and when the say passcode, they actually mean password! A password is required to install Sonoma, and, as I never use one, I had to make one up. Somona is now installing, and, hopefully, I'll be able to remove the password once it's done! I'm not the only one to have come across this problem, and Apple tech have been alerted to the error, so here's hoping the fix it! Thanks again for your help.

Thank you for that info. I followed your directions, and selected my MacMini, but there is no option to Unlock.
Also, When I went to iCloud.com/find on my phone, I get the same screen.
