Best way to delete apps after upgrade to Catalina.

When you view etrecheck reports & see Clean Up:, it's usually remnants left by faulty uninstallers or just dragging the App to the Trash, sometimes the .plists left behind will suck the life of of a Mac when they can no longer find the executable, but frantically keep trying, often exhibited as crashing coming out of sleep, or reusing to restart, etc., etc., etc.. :)

Remember to unregister (if an option) any apps you have previously bought and that issued a registration number.

Then usually yes, you can just drag to the trash.

AppCleaner does seem to get good marks in the communities.

I understand this and it's been this way forever on the Mac. I just have never really encountered any issue with remnants on my Macs through the years, so I rarely give much thought to going to look for them.

Is that AppCleaner we're looking at?

This is a simple one, some installations have dozens of other assorted files, but the reason you don't want just drag an App to the Trash...

I've seen it recommended, can't remember trying it, but have tried plenty, seems that one only works upto Ventura, socan't testat themoment on Sonoma.
