This happened to me with an IPhone 15 Plus. I bought several different USB-C chords and eventually none worked. I thought I cleaned the port with a toothpick well. I put on some microscopic glasses and looked into the port and found that the toothpick does not go deep enough. There was a lot of debris still in there and that port is deeper than the old lightning one. I shut the phone down and used a pin to dig all the way in and cleaned out a lot more debris. It is now completely clean and works fine with all my chords that previously did not work. Don't be afraid to shut the phone down and use a pin to clean all the dirt out deeply.

Just had this happen to me and the usb c port was completely clean. I took it into Apple and they said that there was a known software problem with the iPhone 15 pro causing the usb c to not work,. They shut it down, wiped it clean and reloaded it and it now works fine. So besides a dirty usb c port it might also be a software glitch but easily fixed by the instore Apple techs - Wendell
Try and force restart the iPhone to see if the issue persist. You might also want to check the usb c port for dirt
Yes it is dirt... It is a way deeper port than the old lightning ones. Shut the phone down and use a stick-pin to deeply and carefully clean all the dirt out.

Again, here is how to force a restart: Force restart iPhone - Apple Support — and hold that third button press until the Apple logo shows.
If you have forced a restart, and have checked for dirt and debris in the USB-C port, then contact Apple Support.
If you are unable to charge the iPhone, check your USB-C cable and charger—try with a different charger and cable and a known-working wall power socket—then contact Apple Support.
Force restart does the job for me when the usb c cannot connect. What is the root problem.
I don’t have battery.. the phone doesn’t work the usb-c don’t give battery i can’t restart and the usbc port it’s not dirt… i don’t know what can i do more ..
