Can I fix my iPhone back from iOS 17.1 to something similar to iOS 16.5?

I hate this new update. Everything is different. The screen when I call someone is all changed. Calendar searching goes back 5 years and then I have to scroll. Anyone know how I can fix my phone back to something similar to iOS 16.5?

5 years? Before iOS 17 calendar searching was limited to one year. So you would be REALLY unhappy with a version earlier than 17, if calendar searching is important to you. You cannot go back, but there are several 3rd party calendar apps that have unlimited searching; Week Calendar, the one I use, has no limits for searching; I have searched events as far back as 1997, the earliest my calendar goes. That’s 24 years ago, for those who are math-challenged.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I guess I never noticed that it went back that far because it would pop up with a couple of months not years. I am so frustrated with the 17.1 and aApple’s disregard for our privacy and the possibility of hackers taking control of our phone. They should’ve never released this update until those bugs were out. I guess I can go to YouTube and watch the entire message on how to use the new features on your phone in 17.1.

That is nonsense. Apple has the best privacy protections of any device on the market, and there has never been a case of hackers taking over a phone.

Some reading on the subject:

And did you read where they were fixed in 17.1? Security vulnerabilities are found primarily be researchers who can earn huge awards by reporting them, whether they are likely to happen in real life or not. How huge? On bug bounty paid this year to a single researcher was $250,000. The whole point is to find them before the bad guys do. Security is not a wall that you build once that protects you forever (despite what some political leaders say), it is an arms race.

And Forbes tends to exaggerate issues both because they hate Apple, and it sells more magazines.
