"Complete the setup for your AppleCare+ coverage and link it to your Apple ID now" problem

Yesterday, I purchased the Apple Care+ monthly version and got every e-mail about the coverage, receipt and etc. The last e-mail contained that: "Complete the setup for your AppleCare+ coverage and link it to your Apple ID now". If I click "Link your Apple ID" - the system ask me to change my country/region, but this is not possible even if I cancel my subscription in my region (which is Hungary).


I tried to another method with the Apple Support app, but when I clicked the Finish Setup, a little pop-up menu appear and it show my subscription, but the Apple Care+ is none in between.


So my question is: if I do not complete the setup, the subscription automatically will be cancelled in the next month?

To Get Purchased to Go Through...


Zero-Out the Balance:

Purchase something that is more than what is in your account. Or, contact an Apple Rep over-the-phone, requesting assistance, asking that they zero-out the balance, then change your location to where it should be..

  • Proceed from there as necessary
  • Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)


Getting the AppleCare:

Once zeroed-out, you can change the country. As for the AppleCare, it may or may not be lost, after you successfully change the location.

  2. As it Reads: "For some AppleCare plan types, and in some countries or regions, you might not be able to transfer an AppleCare plan to a new owner. For details, review the applicable AppleCare Terms and Conditions. If you’re not sure which plan you have, check your coverage."

You need to contact Apple Support Directly. This is a User-to-User forum. We are all volunteers. So, as you may suspect, no one here has access to that information — and that is a good thing, BTW.
