Why is my MacBook's serial number invalid?

I want to book a support appointment to replace my laptop keyboard and battery, but am unable to add the device to my account as it claims the serial number is invalid.

Please advise.

You should contact the official Apple Support about that, only they can look into your personal data and find the registered devices and their serial numbers.
