Why can't I play my music in itunes, it keeps asking me to log in Apple music

I can't access my music which is alot. It wants me to sign into Apple Music to play my music on my computer

Windows, Windows 10

It should not be doing that.


It should only require logging in to Apple Music if you are trying to play something from the For You, Browse or Radio tabs at the top. .


Make sure you are in the Library tab and are selecting a track from your Songs list or Albums form the side panel.


It may ask you to log in to your Apple ID if you have any purchased songs from the iTunes store. This has nothing to do with the Apple Music subscription service though.
