App Mail Issue with Sonoma
Dear all,
Since i updated to Sonoma i have an issue with Mail app.
Sorry, it's a little bit long, but really specific bug. Note that all was 100% OK with Ventura.
The issue :
Since Sonoma, one of my emails account asked for login/pass of the session to allow me to send an email.
After hours and hours of research, i have seen that the reason is due to a "certificate call" on this specific email SMTP.
I checked all my web certificates that i use with Spanish administration (nothing to see with Mail, i NEVER associated a certificate to mail account ! It's .P12 format).
Mail app has by himself associated one certificate to on email address.
I checked the certificate associated, but inside the keychain it's not indicated as associated.
I NEVER used certificates for email purpose
My actions already done :
- Checked the certificate S/MIME eventual association : nothing is associated
- Uninstalled the Email account and re installed (X15 times, with reboot each time!)
- Deleted the default keychain
- Formated the MAC and made a full install with no time machine
- Changed some SMTP ports in case of
- Tested and all is OK with Microsoft Outlook so really a Mac/Mail issue
Please note that i have the exactly same issue on a second computer.
All work well until i upload this certificate. But i need it as it's the one for my company !
Another strange issue : when i delete the certificate, it appears again after few minutes.
Icloud keychain not sync...
Also, please note that inside this certificate there is my email address indicated, but this is normal !
I believe Sonoma has by himself considered that this certificate has to be associated with my email address...
No way to fix it by my side, i contacted the Apple support but well, they didn't respond me properly.
Is there a non explored way ?
I'm a computer engineer and for me, it smells like a bug..
