Safari displaying strange characters on some web pages

Since updating to Sonoma (MacOS 14), my safari displays strange characters on some webpages. Sometimes it's the whole page, other times its just the certain parts of the page.

If I copy the text and paste it into another app, like Word for example, then the text displays in normal English.

I've thought it could be a font issue, but not sure how to fix that?
