only problem that I can’t rename the internal McIntosh HD Fusion Drive.

I've successfully create an external boot SSD.
and from the new external ssd drive I can't rename the internal fusion "old" drive.
I only Can rename if I'm using and boot from the OLD internal Fusion Drive.
When you erase the drive, you can assign whatever name you wish. The suggestion to rename the drive is there to help you tell the two apart, but it's a convenience, not a necessity.
I've renamed some and just left some alone; performance was not impacted.
Assuming you successfully create an external boot SSD, If you choose to, you can use the internal drive as storage only by erasing it. Renaming it to reflect that is suggested, again for ease of identity. I usually rename it something like "[computer name] Internal Storage-500" for a 500GB internal drive.

How can I use the internal Fusion Drive as storage only ?
I have ONE iMac. an internal Fusion Drive and an external SSD Drive from it I use to boot and macOS Sonoma use.
How can I "see both drivers ?

I have 2 HD's spear but now it seems that this is OK.
