iPod model A2178 frozen
Apple logo flashes on and off. Can't do a thing with it. Can't even turn it off. Please help me to get this unstuck. Thank you so much.

Does the device have enough power?
If the battery is run down, then the device may power up with the Apple logo but immediately turn off again because it doesn't have enough power. In some cases, the device may try to start up again, in which case the same symptoms take place again.
Plug the device into a power supply and make sure that it is being charged. Try different cable or power supply if you have any doubts.
