Double Tap on Apple Watch Series 9 Not Working on Spotify

When I try and skip a song with the double tap feature on my Apple Watch Series 9 it does not skip the song or do anything. Just shows the double tap that went through but no action. Is this on Spotify's end? or can Apple integrate this in the next software update? Very unfortunate because all of my music is on Spotify and I don't want to have to keep switching back and forth.

Same issue here! I found a quick fix for this issue the now playing app, this allows you to stop/play using double tap, alzo works if you’re watching a youtube video in your phone, you just need to keep the app open, hope this helps!:)
