Extended wallpaper not working iOS 17.1

Before updating to ios 17.1 one of the images I use for my wallpaper had the ability to be artificially extended to have it fit the Home Screen better. After updating the feature doesn’t work anymore for that same image. Tried rebooting recreating the Lock Screen and Home Screen pair but nothing works. Any idea as to way it’s not working anymore?

Extended Wallpaper iPhone keeps reverting to the original I have my iPhone background set on changing every hour from a selection of images (17 & 17.1). Some of these are set to extended wallpaper image. Every time they change or the screen locks, the images revert to their original non extended position. How do I prevent this from happening or is it a bug??

Why is my iPhone 13 wallpaper in the right aspect ratio still getting extended? I made custom wallpapers for myself that were in the right aspect ratio (9.75 x 21.1) for my iPhone 13 and they all work perfectly well except for 1. When I zoom out to have the entire background visible a fade is applied to the top of the picture and when I try to turn off the extended wallpaper the wallpaper zooms back in. I have checked a few times that this is the right wallpaper size and all my other wallpapers work correctly. I will attach a slightly edited version of the wallpaper to this post. Same issue, on an iPad Pro M4. What I'm noticing is it allows me to extend the wallpaper while customizing the lock screen but then when I click "done" it looks like it's saving it as extended but then once it's saved it goes back to the original image.
