Emails show up in outlook but apple mail is not receiving or showing all emails

I really don't understand what is going on. I just want my outlook to work like it did before on apple mail.

What is happening

Apple mail: [THE PROBLEM]

The whole main inbox is missing emails.

Some mailboxes like "flagged" or "drafts" was able to get emails back.

New emails are not showing up.

Outlook email:

is getting new emails.

has all the past emails.

Mac Computer A: is the one with the Broken Apple Mail. Mac Mini

Mac Computer B: is the one with the Apple Mail that still works. Mac Air

Both use the same apple account. Both are log into the same Outlook Exchange.

What I did to mess up Apple Mail:

There was way way way too much space being taken up by my mail messages on my Mac Computer A. Not in. Not in my wildest dreams of deleting them off the computer (Mail>Library Folder) would impact Apple Mail.

What a waste of space on a computer that has so little.

Deleted them. Apple Mail loses all its emails.

My attempts to fix it:

1) So, Mac Computer A loses all email in Apple Mail but my Mac Computer B still has them.

I go and copy all emails on Mac Computer B in the "Mail > Library Folder and paste them back into Mac Computer A I only regain the "flagged" and "draft" emails the main emails never show up in Apple Mail

Log in to Outlook and all my mail is still there just not showing up/syncing into Apple Mail

Now I have all this mail taking up space on Mac Computer A but not showing up in Apple Mail.

2) Unhooked the outlook account from Mac Computer A and resigned in. It had a "download" message in the bottom left corner of Apple Mail no new "downloads was added to the Apple Mail. Had to disconnect from the “Internet Accounts.”

3) No connection Triangle is on any of the inboxes to indicate a connection issue

4) I used the "Mailbox > Rebuild" on the inbox that is missing/not getting new emails - No change.

So, where I am at now:

Still broken Apple Mail on Mac Computer A.

  • Mail keeps “downloading” on Mac Computer A, eating up internet speed and the amount I have for the monthly limit.
  • A bunch of space is being taken up on Mac Computer A in “Mail>Library Folder” with no use.

Mac Computer B

  • Working Apple Mail

I am lost on how to fix it and have tried all I can find to fix this on forms, videos, and Reddit. I just don’t understand how Apple is just “Broken” when it should work with everything I have tried. It just never makes sense, and I am so frustrated.

So, what I need a solution for:

Get Apple Mail to work again on Mac Computer A

And for it not to take up so much space on my Computers (Mac Computer A/Mac Computer B) (I need space to work the Adobe programs and pull files on and off cloud systems)

Any idea how to help me? TIA

Sorry I missed this.

Which exact Mac do you have. Apple logo at top left>About this Mac…

On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Shut Down.

Wait for your Mac to shut down completely. A Mac is completely shut down when the screen is black and any lights (including in the Touch Bar) are off.

Press and hold the power button on your Mac until “Loading startup options” appears.

Select a volume.

Press and hold the Shift key, then click Continue in Safe Mode.

The computer restarts automatically. When the login window appears, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar.

Restart normally.

How to rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac

If searching your Mac doesn’t return expected results, rebuilding the Spotlight index might help.

  1. Choose Apple menu () > System Preferences, then click Spotlight.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Drag the folder or disk that you want to index again to the list of locations that Spotlight is prevented from searching. Or click the Add (+) button and select the folder or disk to add.
  4. To add an item to the Privacy tab, you must have ownership permissions for that item. To learn about permissions, choose Help from the Finder menu bar, then search for “permissions.”
  5. From the same list of locations, select the folder or disk that you just added. Then click the Remove (–) button to remove it from the list.
  6. Quit System Preferences. Spotlight will reindex the contents of the folder or disk.

Not sure how much this is interfering, but niids to go away anyway...

Delete this file & restart...
