Spinning rainbow wheel while connected to Lenovo D22e-20 monitor is there a fix?

Only recently, not too long after updating to Sonoma I've been experiencing freezing on my Macbook Air 2022 M2 chip. At times it appeared just to be when switching tabs on Chrome or even just clicking. Eventually, through a bit of trial and error I worked out that the main trigger is swapping between full-size windows while connected to my Lenovo monitor.

I checked to see if there are driver updates for the monitor, but there are only old updates for windows.

Any help would be much appreciated.
