Ping on find my not playing sound

Reset all settings?

If my phone is missing, I can’t ensure any of these things. The issue is that find my iPhone should always play a sound when requested regardless of any of these. If the ringer was on when it’s lost I could call it. That’s why find my iPhone used to be useful at home. I truly hope you are not an apple employee.

Been having this issue too. It only works if someone else pings it, now. It sucks because I won't have family around all the time to find it for me. I'm blind and have ADHD, and asking Siri to say something doesn't help with AirPods in. I don't know why my phone stopped being able to play a sound on itself. I get emails saying a sound played on my phone...no tf it didn't. If it did, it was my media resuming in my earbuds after Siri said it was playing a sound. (Liar.)

i can see it on map but can’t hear it in basement hard to find ..? Don’t know how to get the sound on well actually it won’t go thru the sound ..? Tried
