My iWatch ultra 2 (OS 10.1) was charging and discharging as normal, lasting for 3 days minimum after each charge. Now that the new update 10.1.1 was specifically for battery drain issue. So should i update it as i was not facing any issues before also.

Don't do it! Recent Watch OS 10.1.1. update drastically drains my Apple Watch Ultra battery - from 3 to 1 day! And no one is interested to help users at Apple side... I have no extra apps running, no cool Apple functions (Always on display and so on) in use. Just pure watch OS system. Apple - shame!
Users should always update to the latest releases of watchOS as a matter of habit. There are usually other fixes included that are not specifically publicized.
