system file damage, scanning error, virus detected

my MacBook Pro 2022 is coming up with notifications saying the following above in the title. it is sent as an apple notification which I have clicked on however they don't disappear. I downloaded a virus scanner which shows my laptop has no viruses. I'm confused as to why apple keeps sending them.

There’s no malware here. No file system damage, either. Your Mac is fine.


Somewhere along the path, you were offered and accepted notifications from some website (either directly at the website or via some mail message), and accepted those notifications. These notifications are advertisements.


Remove the notifications: Stop unwanted Notifications - Apple Community


Remove the “virus” scanner too, and use the built-in anti-malware.


These scams and other phishing scams and fake anti-malware apps and fake security report scams are unfortunately all pretty common, and some of the better-known anti-malware turned out to have privacy issues, too:

Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support


If you’re really on macOS 14.0, update your macOS, too.
