Stage Manager has an object permanency problem

Object permanency is a developmental stage where children learn that just because they can't see a thing doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It's also the ability to trust that if I leave something there, it will be there until I move it. Stage Manager really struggles with this. Right now, the reason I'm writing is because I use Stage Manager and multiple desktops to separate work and home tasks. When I switch desktops, Stage Manager seems to >50% of the time switch to another app, not the one I was most recently using. For example, I was just in Chrome and Safari, switched desktops to check email, then switched back to the first desktop and as I did so Excel popped up. This is adding in an annoying extra step to find the windows I was JUST using seconds ago. This shouldn't happen. I'd also like to generate some interest in having apps reopen windows after restarting in the same desktops they were previously in, but I guess that's a separate issue, though I use it with Stage Manager. Stage Manager also seems to struggle to know if I'm just moving a window or trying to minimize it to the left, often when I'm just moving a window to the left of my iMac screen, it minimizes it bc if I get close to the left screen Stage Manager thinks I'm trying to minimize it. This is ANNOYING! I really rely on Stage Manager at this point for helping manage my focus and workflow--would love this to be fixed. Any ideas anyone?
