audio interfaces

I am trying to use Universal audio volt 176 audio interface with 2020 MacBook Pro 13 -m1 chip via usb type c to usb a cable.the volt 176 functions normal accept does not show any input signal visualy or audio in garageband .I have reached my limits and knowledge about this subject is there a driver or other things I can check
