When attempting to export a photo form Dxo PhotoLab 7 to the Mac's Photo Lab I get the following error:
"the operation could not be completed (com.apple.photos.error error 41015.)"
I am using a MacBook air M2 with 24 GBytes of ram and 1 Tbyte of storage running MacOS Sonoma.

Actually, it wasn't a workaround, it was a diagnostic test. It tells us that DxO are producing good jpegs and Photos can import them. That. to me suggests that there's an issue with the script that DxO are using to send the image to Photos. Have you asked on their forums?

Can you export to the Finder and then import from there?
Yes. That is called a workaround. When you have a set of features that enable a workflow which has worked for years over many versions of different products (photos, macOS, photolab, etc. ) you expect (hope) that there will be a bug fix that will re-enable the feature.
I put the question in their support forum and got a request number from them.
