Intune Management profile installation failed with Verification Error on iphone 15

I am trying to install the Intune management profile with the Microsoft Company Portal and I am getting a verification error your apple id or password is incorrect. I have confirmed the password is correct by logging into the aka.ms/mysecurityinfo site. The username is already pre-populated with my company email address and in the past we have nt used the users AppleID since it is a persoanl ID not associated with the company email. I did not have this issue with earlier iPhones, this is new to iphone 15 on IOS 17. I have not tried an older phone with IOS 17.
