Default Browser Isn't Actually My Default Browser

I recently had to restart my computer after an iOS and Chrome update, and now every time I click on a link either from Outlook or Teams it defaults to opening the link in safari.

I've gone to Desktop & Dock Default -> Web Browser -> Chrome, as well as making chrome my default browser through Chrome, and still no luck. I've also restarted my computer and while these preferences don't appear to change in the settings, Safari still appears to be my default browser.

How do I change it so that all links and new windows open in Chrome, or at least how I do prevent Safari from opening?
