How to temporarily change App store?

I am registered with the Australian app store, but live in Canada and need to download apps specific to Canada (not available in Australia). Years ago I registered with the Canadian store *using a different email address and password*. If I am logged out of the Australian store, can I log into the Canadian store *using those different details* without losing my $credit in Australia? My local Apple store didn't seem to know and the support articles are very unclear about this. TIA.

Changing country of App Store I want to change the country of mi Apple Store account but I can’t. The reason?
