Apple Music Cloud Library , Sharing Profile and Find Friends not working - cannot connect, spinning

These symptoms started after installing the macOS Sonoma upgrade, and continued after the macOS 14.1 update.

Tried lots of troubleshooting:

Safe Boot of computer

Safe launch of Music.app

Test user account - still happens

Mac Studio (2023)

Solved the problem. It turns out that Jumbo Frames on my Ethernet connection was disabling connectivity for the Music.app. This worked in Ventura on this same computer. I noticed it working when disconnecting the Ethernet cable, but all other networking was fine, other than Music.app. Then I checked what was different, and I have a 10GbE connection with Jumbo Frames enabled automatically. Manually disabling it allowed Music to connect.

I'm also experiencing the same issue when enabling Jumbo Frames. It does not make sense at all, why would Apple Music not work when this is enabled? In theory, this should work. This makes me question the following.

It seems Apple Music is setting IP Flag Don't Fragment on. Whyyyyyyy? Haven't done a packet capture, but I think this is happening.

If Apple Music is not setting the Don't Fragment Flag, it should work with no issues regardless of the MTU size. Let intermediate devices do the fragmentation and reassembly of packets.

Why Apple Music does not use standard packet size (MTU 1500)? This will allow Apple Music to set the Don't Fragment flag and work in any network (high speed 100 Mbps or higher). I do not understand why media would require bigger packet sizes.

Would be great to have either Apple fixing this or making the Music app open source, so other people can fix this minor issue.

Sorry for ranting.
