help!! connecting macbook to external monitor

I'm wanting to connect my macbook pro to my Samsung Odyssey G7 monitor.

I know I will need a display port to USB-C adapter.

I mainly use my desktop PC which is connected to the same monitor but will need to access some applications on my mac and want to do so on the same minotor.

My mouse and keyboard are currently connected to my PC and would like to keep using those when dispaying from my macbook. Will I have to switch my keyboard and mouse over to my macbook everytime I want to display from my macbook? My macbook only has 2 USB-C ports and one of them will be taken up by the display adatper.

I think there are multiple adapter options where I could connect both my keybopard/mouse into one USB-C port on my macbook, but is there a way to not have to switch my keyboard/mouse from my PC to macbook everytime I want to display from my macbook?

Thanks!
