TV turns off when video format changes

This problem has been occurring off and on for a few months. I thought it was only the Max app, but now I’ve seen it happen with Hulu. I have not changed any system settings or hardware in that time frame.

observed issue:

Apple TV works fine to browse to the TV episode or film

I Start the episode or film playing

It appears that the video format is changing

My television gets turned off

The episode or film continues playing (I hear the audio through the stereo)

I turn the television back on separately, and the video is playing as well

Other notes:

The video setting are for 4K Dolby Vision with Match Content OFF.

Control TVs and Receivers is ON

Check HDMI test passes

The problem is infrequent, but it is repeatable with episodes from the same series/season
