But it could work well on edge.

I have just found someone who has the same problem but on chrome. they said it is something related to a "quick UDP internet connection", and just need to close the ”Experimental QUIC protocol“, and everything will be great.

FWIW, Google Scholar works in Safari for me without changing any settings.
