After the upgrade to Sonoma, PowerPoints made on the PC (which my company uses) are messed up on the Mac. Variously slides come across as blanks. Never happened before. It's a problem. now I have to use both a Dell and the Mac at home.

Confirm that you have the latest version of PowerPoint installed on your Mac which is 16.78.3. Also confirm you are running on the latest version of Sonoma which is 14.1.1. It may also depend on what version of PowerPoint you are running on Windows. If your Windows version is older the files may no longer be compatible. It’s always best to be running the latest versions of any operating system and Office.
Contact Microsoft customer support. They are responsible for keeping their software working with macOS, not Apple.
Try LibreOffice -- sometimes it is more compatible than Microsoft Office itself.
Apple's Keynote is not a Powerpoint clone, and depending upon what features you incorporated into Powerpoint on your Wintel box (you said PC), Keynote's translation of that Powerpoint into Keynote's internal .key document format may not be accurate, nor guaranteed by Apple to look like it did in Powerpoint.
Same issue here. We just bought a new M3 MBP with Sonoma and all of our PowerPoint files open super weird. Work fine on our other Mac. Same version of PPT so this must be a Sonoma issue. Incredibly frustrating.

Same here....only certain sides say "The picture can't be displayed"...notes remain
You appear to be using Microsoft PowerPoint. I can’t explain why they can’t make their own apps consistent. Have you asked them?
