Bad battery life on both iphones, virus?

Possibly to have some sort of malware / virus?

I just opened my iphone 15 pro yesterday. Battery from 100% is now 38%. Screen time is only 3 hours 10 minutes. My iphone 11 had a fresh new original battery and drained in 3/4 hours maximum so also very bad. If there was a malware it has been transferred as I transferred everything on my 15 pro, correct? What can I do..?

Got the 15 pro as an upgrade mainly for the battery and still very bad.

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17

You don't have a virus. There are no known virus for iPhone, unless you immediately jailbroke your iPhone, which would not be wise.

When you first get a new iPhone, if you are setting it up from a previous iPhone, it can take a couple days to fully index the data on the new device. The phone is working hard to do that. Give it a few days for the indexing to fully complete.

The cellular connection can be a battery hog as well, especially if you set to 5G only, if you don't live in an area where there is strong 5G service. Open Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options and set it to 5G Auto or LTE is you don't have access to good 5G service.

I never jail broke an iphone no, no idea how. My 5G is set on Auto. I’ll try to see how is the battery on wifi as that eliminates the “issue” with 5G. Weird tho as my 11 came out fresh with a battery change and died as quick as the 79% battery health battery.

Backround app refresh always was off, turned off most apps that use locations and even significant locations etcetc, did all you can do to presereve battery on my 11 and nothing.. Probsbly same story on here.
