Trying to download Monterey via software update

I am using a MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015), which the website states that this is compatible with Monterey. I have 50GB available space on the machine. I am currently running BigSur 11.7.10. I need to migrate to Monterey to support additional applications including MS Word and TurboTax 2023.

When I click on Software Update the cursor just spins waiting to find the download of the installer. I also tried using the link via the web browser.

Is there another way to download the installer. Based upon support articles this is compatible with my current machine.

What else can i do?
