I've updated to Sonoma (OSX14) on my MacBook Pro -- But I can no longer scan documents. I believe I need updated driver to connect to my HP OfficeJet Prom 7740 Printer. Could not seem to fine on HP website. Result: no longer able to scan documents. Need some help... THANK YOU! (:>)

If it says ".download", that means the file hasn't finished downloading yet. It should only show "HP_Easy_Start.zip".
You might want to try going to that exact download location using Firefox or some other browser to see if it will download properly. Not sure why Safari would be causing an issue. Unless perhaps you are running low on drive space. Also, if you are trying to download to your download folder, try downloading the desktop to see if it will completely download.

I did get that far, previously, and I downloaded the Easy Start link from the website (see below)
However, each time I tried (total 4 times) to launch the HP_Easy_Start.app.zip.download I received this message:

Great....glad it's working for you now. Still it seems strange that Safari had a problem. If you run into any more weird problems, I'd still reboot into safemode and then back to normal mode to see if that helps you with any future strange behaviors.
