Data was multiplied then forced on top of the original on Numbers

A couple of hours ago something happened on my Ventura machine when I started to close out of a Numbers document. Since I was not closing out Numbers, just the document, I clicked 'save' then upper left red dot. This resulted in the 'spinning wheel' for quite a few minutes before the document went away. When I cam back to do some more work and opened the document, the attached if how it shows on the desktop.

As can be seen, it looks like the data was multiplied then forced on top of the original but slightly offset.

Is there any fix?

Both Ventura and Numbers are up to date.

Here is a single table on a canvas:

I intentionally duplicated the table:

If you want to unselect both tables, click outside the tables on the background (the canvas). Places where you should click in this example are denoted by stars that I added:

Now single click any cell in the top that is on top:

Now you can see only one set of table controls are enabled.

single click the "bullseye" at the top left, then type delete:

Guess I did not quite take a picture high enough but there is only one sheet shown. Somehow I have duplicated the sheet without it being a second sheet. Also, am unable to select anything on the sheet whether front or back. Apple knocked it out but the background of the top page is transparent (????) so that several cells show data in the stacked cells.
