Importing hundreds of photos to Mac. Putting them in albums and need to share with others. Created a shared album for each and then copy/paste into shared album.
Is this creating duplicates or just pointing back to the original?

A photo added to a normal album just points back to the original copy in the library.
A photo added to a shared album is a separate copy, possibly at a reduced resolution.
