iPhone 14 PRO MAX rear microphone noise when recording video

I have two iPhone 14 PRO max phones. One running IOS 16.7. And one running 16.5. Recently, both phones have been having audio problems when recording video. I have isolated the problem down to being the rear facing microphone only when recording video in HD mode. The issue occurs only when recording video from the rear facing camera and only when the recording is set to any of the HD modes. The sound problems do not occur when recording at 4K mode using the rear camera, or any mode (HD or 4K) when using the front facing camera. Removing the screen protector, the phone from the case, and IOS upgrades have no impact. Cleaning the microphone hole has no impact. It only occurs when recording in HD mode with the rear facing camera. Sure sounds like a software bug, so I am wondering if anyone else has had this same issue, and is there a fix available for it (other than recording everything in 4K mode)?
