Metadata and playlistinfo in Apple Music /iTunes

I have used iTunes since about 1999.

During the years I have used it there has ben problem and difficulties. Some of them, we have overcome.

One of the main reasons I bought my first iPod, was because of iTunes. Because of its unique way of sort tracks and albums, and genres. Since then I upgraded the ipod several times.

Today I have several iPads, 2 MacBook pros, one at home, one at the mountain cabin, 2 iPhones. 3 apple tv´s, 2 at home, one at the cabin. I also have a 2TB apple time capsule unit in the basement, still running.

I do of course have a an old music library. A library I have fused with the Apple Music streaming services.

So I pay for Apple Music and I also pay for the iTunes Match. So that I can upload my own music into the library. The music library has been built from scratch since 1996.

Now I do have a problem.

Actually I have had a problem for several years.

It started with they (apple) removed the possibility to search for artist in a playlist a couple of years ago.

Why?

Then they removed the possibility to search for a genre inside a library.

Why?

I my music I have added a lot of metadata. it is no longer searchable in the the apple music library.

Recently I was even more confused. There is a "playlist" in Apple Music, it is called "recently added".

There it is an overview of my recently added albums.

Some years ago that list was limited to a couple of albums. On my phone and on Sonos it was. short. Maybe 50 albums. It was really annoying. But on my two laptops and my stationary windows computer it went as far back as I wanted.

Just not on my phone or iPad.

But now, apple has included that restriction on my computers too.

When I check I can´t go back more than 60 albums.

So when I want to make a playlist for the last year, I do not know the albums I´ve added to my library after those 60 albums.

And just to make it clear. I listen to more than 60 albums I a year. I listen to 60 albums in a two week period.

So I do not understand why apple is making this change?

Why can´t I just see the 2000 recent albums I I´ve added to the library????
