How to update macbook air version 10.10.5

The machine is from london and wasn't use for so long that software update was not being applied. This is now being handed to me to manage the usability. I've tried using the support qnd services in the machine but it keeps sending me thia message "safari can't open the page". This is the reason I can proceed. I anyone can provide me guidance.
