Macbook screen connection issue

I use a Macbook Air M1. 4 months ago I dropped my phone on the base of the screen, where the "Macbook Air" logo is printed. The screen went bad, all the colors oversaturated and there was a brown-ish filter over everything, it became unwatchable. The screen would have ghosting issues, where anything left on the screen for longer than 20 seconds would leave an after image for a long period of time. I took it to the store and they said I would have to replace the entire screen. Now I'm a broke college student, I can barely afford rent. About a month ago I opened it and the screen was magically fixed, for about 2 minutes, then in broke again. Yesterday I opened it and the screen was working for about 12 hours, then it breaks, I restart it and it's alright again.

So the screen isn't genuinely damaged right? I don't have to replace the entire screen. I'm assuming it's is some kind of cable/connection issue. Is it possible to open up the connections on the base of the screen and reattach/replace the cables? Would that fix it? I'm not very well versed in this so I'm hoping someone here could help.
