Are blackhole and sound flower compatible with Sonoma - MacOS 14 ?
https://existential.audio/blackhole/support/ doesn't mention Sonoma yet.

I can tell you for sure that, yes BH is compatible with Sonoma and M1 Macs.
sound flower, on the other hand, is not. it started becoming difficult to install as of Catalina. and I do remember that on Big Sur people with M1 Macs could install it, but it didn't work. I abandoned soundflower while I was still on Big Sur.

Thank you Jeffrey.
you're welcome. :)
Meanwhile, I have contacted BH support, and they confirm. BH is supported on Sonoma.
yes, I should have mentioned that they sometimes take a while to update their page to add the currently supported macOS. that was a good idea to contact them for that question.

Blackhole is presented as macOS 13 Ventura and Apple Silicon Compatible
Where as Sound Flower from an old posting appear to be not Apple Silicon compatible
audio is only 44.1, if you try changing it to 48k it will switch back on its own, which is un professional if your doing 48k which is needed for decent XLR mic sources
I dont understand why Apple does offer the option to screen record in this day and age with YouTubers, the users choosing to do this have to already abide by privacy and copyright laws, so why would apple suggest they are responsible and there for not supporting options for internal routing the audio..
in anywise if you have any problems besides this the permissions are all done via the pref pane for folders and doc access, make sure QuickTime permissions are on to access desktop and folders etc.
BlackHole supports 48KHz and many more options.
