I get no WiFi on my iPhone 12 even though it's connected

A few things you can try:

1. Try another WiFi connection; could be the one you are trying is blocked somehow?
2. No connection via SIM is bizarre, it should work unless you no longer have data? Hard to diagnose that over forums.
3. Force restart the iPhone (Force restart iPhone - Apple Support)
4. If all else fails try to manually setup your new iPhone

It might be something with the Wi-Fi connection type that the iPhone does not like e.g. 802.11a vs. b vs. c or router settings need to be tweaked e.g. not enough IP addresses for DHCP etc. If you have other Apple devices connected just fine then it could be a problem with the iPhone. Another thing to try is to check your cellular data settings in case you have not already: Use cellular data on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Try to disable Wi-Fi and just use cellular data to see if you get an internet connection once you have done above via the article... Besides that it might be a hardware issue requiring repair or at least a diagnostic run (you can do this yourself if you search online on how to put the iPhone into diagnostic mode but be cautious when doing it; I have never tried it before). Again, tough to diagnose this over the forums. All the best!

I got a new router from Verizon as soon as it was up and running the Wi-Fi is back on by iPhone 12. Spent hours on the phone with Verizon and they finally agreed to send a new router and it works now
