Vivint app no longer working

Since updating to 10.1.1 on my Apple Watch the Vivint app stopped working. Says I have to open app on iPhone and log in. Well I’m always logged in but tried this and still won’t work anymore. Removed from watch, did a hard reset on both devices and still won’t work. Anyone else with this issue?

The same has happened to me. The workaround, I’ve found, is to tap that grayish spot on the upper left hand corner of the “login” notification. It’s an ‘X’ out of the notification which returns you to the Home Screen of the watch app. Hope this helps!

got it to work by:


  1. Updating Vivint app
  2. Removing on and reloading to watch
  3. Sign out of all devices on Vivint App from phone
  4. Sign back in
  5. turn off simple pass code option for watch unlock
  6. Follow Watch prompts to update code to unlock Watch to match your phone’s unlock code


Update seems necessary. The signing in/out: not sure if that’s necessary, but it’s what I tried. The code matching seemed like the key. If I hadn’t been so frustrated, I’d maybe just try that first.
